Lynchburg Getaway Walking Distance to Jack Daniels

This home was perfect for our stay. Location was perfect with the convenience of being able to walk to the distillery and the square for dinner. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

What a great place! I travel a lot, I book a lot of properties for my family and friends so I have expectations when I travel. This place was great! It’s an old house and a very short walk to the Lynchburg Square and the Jack Daniel Distillery. Literally walk down the driveway and cross over the street and them walk across a small walking bridge over a creek and on the other side you are in the square by Barrel House BBQ. The linens were very comfortable. The bedding was as well. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the living room was a great spot to watch round one of the NFL draft. There’s a nice little porch at the front of the house, there’s a carport to park under if you choose. There is a very nice outdoor fire pit with four chairs around it. I also saw collapsible bag chairs in the house. I wish we had more time, a friend and I were there specifically for a very special drop of JD whiskey at the distillery. We hope to get back someday with the wives. One thing worth mentioning, there is not much in town. There are some great stores with a couple featuring Jack Daniels products but we did not see anywhere to pick up groceries and the restaurant selection looked to be minimal. If you’re driving into town, expecting to hit a grocery store, I did not see one, so grab your stuff on the way in. Hope to be back soon!!

This house was so nice inside and they were so accommodating, letting us check in a bit early, check out a bit late if we needed to. Whatever was in the house we were able to use. It felt like home, very nice and clean. This was our favorite place thus far. It was in a quaint, quiet spot in walking distance from the Jack Daniel's Distillery. It doesn't get any better than that. There was a BBQ spot pretty much right out the door. The town of Lynchburg is so sweet with the shops also in walking distance. We were in town for an AAU basketball tournament taking place in all the neighboring towns and communities. The location is just off the downtown square in Lynchburg. The home is historic and has been well modernized while maintaining its historic integrity. Walking distance to the Jack Daniels Distillery and Museum. A couple of good restaurants also within walking distance to grab breakfast or lunch. Owners were quick to respond. We did have a malfunction of the HVAC on our last night-and as luck would have it, it was the coldest night we were there. We were able to use a space heater to keep one bedroom warm and a cabinet style propane heater to keep the other 2 bedrooms warm. I will look to stay here when we return next season.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was very conveniently located to the downtown area
